Hi Cathy, with the small stock of Blue Gouldians we have for this coming breeding season, we are not in a position to sell one of either our cock or hen birds. You might like to try Gumtree as a source for a Blue Gouldian – there are a number of sellers presently online with birds for sale. Generally they can range in price from $100-$150. Suggest you buy from a reputable breeder (look carefully at the photos provided by the seller to determine the degree of care being provided to the birds). Can I also suggest you purchase a cock bird as they seem to be a more ‘stronger’ mutation than the hen birds (we have lost around 7-8 Blue hens over our last three breeding seasons but just 1 Blue cock bird). Finally – you can buy split Blue birds for a lower cost – the challenge here is it ‘lowers’ the percentage of Blue Gouldian offspring (25% chance).
